2 months old

It is so hard to believe that Ryker is 2 months old already.  We tried him in his Bumbo chair today.  I am not quite sure his is ready for it yet, but it is a cute picture.  He loves any mobile, especially the bears in his pack in play.  Now if he would just sleep in it... Ryker has not wanted to sleep in his pack in play the last few nights.  He used to go to sleep as soon as he was swaddled (we only swaddled him night), not anymore.  We should be working on sleeping through the night!!!

Gross....

Ryker really enjoys his tummy time with Brian.  Ryker is doing such a good job picking his head up off the floor and turning it from side to side.  He still prefers turning and looking to the left though.  Ryker has strong little legs; he is scooting on his back by using his legs to push off the floor.   He played so hard with Brian on the floor, when it was my turn to hold him- Ryker had the biggest blow-out!  Brian couldn't help himself and had to take a picture.  GROSS.... Brian is proud of his BOY!

Full!

Ryker had lots of visitors yesterday:  Mema, Aunt Brooke, Steen, Aunt Donna, and his cousin Mindy.  Ryker was kinda cranky.  I think it was a bit loud for him.  He drank 4 1/2 oz. of milk and went to sleep for 2 + hours.  He usually drinks about 3 oz.  He looks so full in this picture.

Pumpkin Time

Ok, so I might be going a little crazy with the Halloween pictures.  But, Ryker is smiling more and more everyday.  The first picture is Ryker in his swing.  Isn't he so cute???  He kinda fits in the jeans that Uncle Steve got him.  He did have the ghost hat on that Mema got him when we went into the chiropractor's office.  The ladies behind the desk fight over who gets to hold him.  Last week, Dr. Chuck got a hold of him and gave Ryker is first adjustment.  Ryker loved it and did not cry in the car on the way home.  Maybe it worked?  The corner of the couch is now one of his favorite spots.  Ryker loves his soft Halloween PJ's.

Our Little Pumpkin

OK, if you guessed a PUMPKIN....you are right! Thanks to Aunt Laura and Uncle Dan.  We could not wait any longer to try on his Halloween outfit.  Ryker was not sure he wanted to be a pumpkin at first, but he decided it was not so bad after Brian told him he could pick something else to wear to his first Halloween Party.

Weekend Visitors

Ryker had a very busy weekend with Grandma Golas and Uncle Steve.  He went shopping and to the Rhubart's house for a party.  Ryker and Uncle Steve had a 3 minute conversation that consisted of the same "words" over and over.  He continues to love his bath, but does not like his hair washed!  He looks too cute with his left arm on the side of the tub.

Crying? or Talking?

Ryker was having so much fun playing with his toys.  He is beginning to talk up a storm.  It is so cute!  I have much better video, but I am having trouble getting it to download.  I will keep trying though.

Looking for a Pumpkin

We decided to go to the pumpkin patch and look for a pumpkin today.  It was almost 80 degrees in Rochester, in October.  Ryker had his "My First Halloween" shirt and socks on and jean SHORTS!  Of course Brian and I had our Halloween shirts on too! We found lots of good stuff at the pumpkin patch.  Brian found gummy candy, fudge and apple cider.  I found jelly beans and wine grapes.  Ryker fell asleep in the car so we took a little ride and ate diner at some pizza joint.   Wait till you see Ryker in his Halloween costume.  Can you guess what he is going to be?

To Buffalo

Ryker took his first trip to Buffalo this weekend.  Ryker is still not sure if he likes the car or not.  I seem to think that he may get car sick.  He is so good for 10-15 minutes and then he usually cries and then goes to sleep.  Mema got to babysit while I went to the Sabre's game with my dad.  My dad and I always go to opening night together.  I am excited to start some of our own family traditions.  Before I left for the game, Ryker got a bath in the sink and "Great" Grandpa Kraft and Dolores came to visit.

I love you Beary Much

Ryker loved the stuffed bear from Tom, Mary, Michael, and Elizabeth Compo.  Ryker listens and looks at the pictures when Brian reads the book Baby Bear, Baby Bear.  Can't wait till Ryker fits in the outfit that goes with it!

"We love visitors"

Ryker had so much fun with his cousins.  Morgan enjoyed holding Ryker and organizing all his toys.  Matthew had fun showing Ryker how to play basketball.  He was amazed when Ryker actually hit the basketball with his hand.  Matthew and Ryker had a special "boy" bond!

Me and Dad

I had another bottle the other day.  This time from daddy.  He says I am a little piggy.  I also went to the doctors.  I weigh 8 lbs. and 1 oz. now!  I am 21 inches long.  I am only in the 11th percentile, but the doctor said that was ok because I am growing.  Mommy had a lot of questions, so I just played on the table and looked at all the pictures on the wall.  It really hurt when I got a shot in my leg, but mommy gave me a big hug and a drink after.  I fell asleep on the way home.

"Great " Grandma and "Great" Grandpa

I was so excited to finally meet my "Great" Grandma and Grandpa Smith.  They made the long trip to see me on Monday.  "Great" Grandma got to feed me my 6th bottle and with her magic touch, I fell sound asleep on her and poor "Great" Grandpa felt my bottom make lots of loud noises.  They also told us some great news, my cousins Morgan and Matthew and their mom, "Great" Aunt Tracy are coming to visit this weekend.  We can't wait!

Mommy and Me

These are a few pictures of me and Ryker.  Ryker was so funny the one day.  He would pull his pacifier out and then look at me, I would put it back in.  This happened 2 or 3 times.  The last time, he pulled it out and had the biggest smile on his face.  We have tried to dress him in some of his 0-3 month clothes lately, with little success (still wearing size newborn).  He is just so tiny still, but he would eat all day if I let him!

Bath Time

Ryker's cord finally fell off on Sunday, September 21st.  Mema was so excited to give Ryker his first "real" bath, as my Grandma Jeanne was the first to give me a bath.  At first, Ryker cried. But as warm water was splashed on his tummy, his eyes opened wide and he sucked hard on his pacifier.  Ryker's second bath was very eventful.  He loved splashing in the water so much that he peed.  Just as Brian was wiping the pee off the wall....you guessed it... he pooped!!!
