Breast Cancer Hockey Game

Ryker went to his first hockey game last Friday with Mema, Aunt Brooke, Uncle Steve and Steen.  It was Breast Cancer Awareness night and yes! the ice was PINK.  Ryker actually watched the first period and got his picture taking with the Moose.  He slept through the second period.  Brian and Aunt Brooke took the HUGE pink balloon home for Ryker.  Can you find him in the picture?  Look for Ryker's picture with the Easter Bunny in the mail.  I don't want to put the picture up till you see the Easter Card!!!!  Happy Easter.

Fun Times

Ryker really loves to play with things with his feet.  He started drinking from a sippy and wants to use his feet to help.  He enjoys playing under our new coffee tables.  I hung toys from them for Ryker, but I don't think Brian use to happy about that.  Ryker is not ready for his Johnny Jumper.  He is still so small and is not sure what to do in it.  I am sure once he figures it out, he will not want to get out!!! Thanks Gramma.

St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patty's Day!  Poor Ryker did not get to eat corn beef and cabbage:(  Maybe next year.

March 16th

Ryker had his 6 month well doctor's visit March 16th (our monthly visits are off by about 2 weeks, due to all the trouble at birth and not getting his first set of shots on time).  He weighed 13 pounds and 2.5 oz.  He is in the 0 percentile for his age.  The doctor said that she is not concerned, as long as he continues to gain weight.  Ryker eats like a piggy though.  He has tried bananas, avocados, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, pears, peaches, prunes, apples, squash, I think that is all.  He is not crazy about the greens, but will eat them.  We are going to try mango, papaya, and green beans in the near future.  He also eats baby buscits and chews rice puffs.  He takes his juice from a sippy cup and loves to drink out if Mommy's cup.

Play Museum

We took Ryker to the Museum of Play and decided to get a membership.  It is so much fun and there is so much to do and see.  Ryker enjoyed looking and touching (and riding) all the statues.  He really likes to watch all the fish in the big tanks.  Ryker would love for any of his cousins to come visit him in Rochester so we could take you there!

Laughing aloud

Ryker has laughed aloud a bunch of times, but never long enough to capture it on video.  We were getting ready to put our jammies on and Ryker started to laugh, Brian quick grabbed the camera and this is what we got on video.  Enjoy!!!

Yeah...a video worked

ok so I have been trying to upload videos since I started this blog and for some reason, it worked today.  This is one of Ryker's favorite toys, it is a Christmas present from his Gramma Golas (Brian's mom)!  A vibrating cow!!!  Enjoy.

Clowning around

Ryker loves his feet, playing naked and is beginning to laugh.  He will fake cough too, it is so funny. I love being a mom.  Just wish I had some time to scrapbook all these pictures I am taking!  Hope to see everyone soon.  Love you all.

First Bites

We started food about 2 weeks ago.  Ryker is a pro.  He learned so quick, I am glad I got one sloppy picture.  We have tried cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes, and avocados.  Ryker was not a fan of the avocado, but did eat a few bites.  I am trying to be" super" Mom and make all my own baby food (since my Great-Grandma Florence made mine for me).  So far, so good and it is so easy.

All boy

Brian's Christmas present to Ryker.  Ryker loves when Brian pushes him around the house.  Ryker's new trick in the bath tub is to turn sideways and hang his foot outside the tub.  He continues to love his bath.  Ryker loves to kick and splash, we end up with little water in the tub and lots on the counter and floor!  I can't wait to take him in a swimming pool.

Favorites

Ok, I realize it has been a long time.  We had a rough month in January.  Ryker decided that he did not want to sleep through the night and eventually was getting up every hour.  We finally had to let him cry himself back to sleep.  The first time we let him cry, it was an HOUR before he went back to sleep!  Just about broke my heart.  Now he is back to sleep in seconds, if he wakes up:)  Lots of new things...like eating my toes.

Some "Firsts"

OK, so I was not happy when Daddy dressed me in my snow suit and took me outside in the snow.  But it made a cute picture.  I am a big boy now in my bath.  I do not fit in the infant seat anymore.  I still love my bath and would stay in there all day.  Daddy filled the tub a little full and I had fun splashing water all over the counter and the floor.  Oh, by the way, I rolled over for the first time on Mommy's 30th Birthday!!

New Friends Ryker made in Lowville

Ryker met so many new people during his venture to Lowville.  Daddy's cousins, Michael, Elizabeth, and Lindsey are playing with me in the first picture.  I am wondering why MY MOMMY is holding another baby in the second picture and I met Daddy's best friend from high school- Jordan Allen.

Babies

Mommy and Daddy knew I was small, but when I met Eli and Emily- they realized just how tiny I was.  Eli is one month and 3 days younger then me and Emily is only 13 days older.   I am 4 months old in this picture and my parents hope after the doctors on Jan. 12, I can start eating some cereal:)

Christmas Morning

Ryker made his first journey to Lewis County to surprise his Gramma Cindi Christmas Eve.  These pictures are taken Christmas morning in Lowville with Brian's family. Ryker was all smiles.  We took he picture under the tree in his little wagon.  Jenn's family has a family tradition of getting new pajamas to wear every year on Christmas Eve Night.  So here is our family under the tree with our pj's.  Thanks Mema.
